The highly mineral, tasty grapes grow on vines whose roots penetrate more than 15 meters deep into the mighty Keuper soil. The minerality and spiciness that these grapes bring to the wine is a guarantee for great wine enjoyment. The Ich bin Visionär® matures for over 24 months in the best wooden barrels in the world.

The high-quality design impresses with its breathtaking color precision. The tasteful wine is wrapped in the highest quality cotton paper. The bottle is sealed with a manufactured natural cork and high-quality black sealing wax.

Our dedication continues in the wine cellar: the grapes are processed carefully and precisely in order to optimally bring out the unique fruit and minerality that our vines, with their deep root system, transport into each berry. Using the latest technology, the hand-picked grapes are gently separated from their stalks, while leaves and stems are sorted out. This detailed process ensures the quality of our harvest and enables us to create wines of exceptional purity and elegance. In this way, we create wines that reflect the best of our vines with unmistakable LUKAS SCHMIDT character and noble sophistication.

We have been dedicated to winemaking with dedication and passion for almost 400 years. For us, wine is the most precious pleasure that can be experienced in a unique way with all five senses. In our vineyards, we cultivate grape varieties with an incomparably fruity aroma, whose berry skins contain an impressive potential for aromas.

During processing, we place great emphasis on care and sensitivity in order to preserve the valuable aromas. Our Scheurebe grapes in particular, which are known for their intense fruity scent, are subjected to a maceration lasting several days after a second selection in the cellar. Here we use a process that requires a great deal of expertise and sensitivity: natural cold maceration. With this method, we are able to carefully transfer the essential aromas and minerals from the grape skins into the juice. At the end of this complex process, a golden yellow, highly aromatic grape juice of the highest purity is produced.

This concentrated energy of our vines allows the grapes to ripen earlier and to be harvested at full maturity even under demanding weather conditions. The result is grapes that are particularly tasty and allow us to create wines that are full of flavor despite a comparatively low alcohol content.
