If you do what you love, you never have to go to work again. I am very grateful that I can get up every day with a good feeling and go through the world with a lot of positive energy. And that is exactly what this wine subscription is about today. In Munich, we founded the winemaker group MOD:Wine in 2020 with a handful of select winemakers from all over Germany. Some people say we are "the underdogs of the industry" at the moment. I find working together in the group incredibly fun. Each winemaker has his own razor-sharp profile and stands for his own wine style and passion. The group is about supporting each other and sharing contacts. And of course, one or two bottles are examined more closely. ;)
Axel Bauer from Bühl, which is in the beautiful, sunny Baden, is also a founding member. Axel and I have one thing in common. We are both extremely passionate about what we do. We always move forward and make wines that are "out of the box". Axel's specialty is spicy, long and minerally strong red wines. Two weeks ago, I was able to taste the entire range from the Axel Bauer winery with our Caro. We were both very surprised, there were some real big names there. In addition to personal taste and the absolute quality of the wine, the issue of price-performance is extremely important to me. My aim is that the customer always gets more than he pays for. And from our point of view, Axel's price-performance winner is the Cuvee'Rouge. An international red wine cuvée made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. So what do we as LUKAS SCHMIDT now include in the package? Better? Stronger? No! We stand for nose wines that are easy to drink and we will of course remain true to that. In this package I will show you two completely different types of red wine cuvée in Germany. LUKAS SCHMIDT Cuveé Red with lots of fruit and a beautiful structure, the perfect wine for weddings, family celebrations and the terrace. And the Bauersche Cuveé Rouge with lots of power, spiciness and punch as an all-round food companion.

With best wishes from the raspberry, this wine presents itself on the nose. Accompanied by a few plums and a fine herbal spice. As soon as it reaches the tongue, the bear is dancing with brisk freshness. Citrus notes, cherries, raspberries and a wonderfully agile acidity create a drama in the hatch. It is fruity, fast-paced and extremely lively and makes it difficult to settle for just one glass. Summer red wine with enormous pull.

Blackberry, blueberry, vanilla, sweet wild raspberry; intense, juicy and inviting bouquet. Full-bodied, juicy, fresh, round, youthful, medium length, wonderfully juicy and makes you want the next sip.
Food: Goose and duck, truly powerful dishes that cry out for a strong wine - pronounced aromas of dark fruits and spice notes enrich the enjoyment - in addition, the light sweetness of the wine supports the typical side dishes, whether caramelized red cabbage, apple or chestnuts and of course the intense, strong sauce.
